Christian Film Academy Releases 'Porn' Flick?

Contact: Robert Brayton, Cinenosin Film Academy, 713-857-7265

HOUSTON, Nov. 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Cinenosin Film Academy released its first made-for-Internet film. It is called "Mistaken Identity." The film is available for viewing online.

The four minute, thirty-second film is the vision of academy founder, Robert Brayton. "I was researching Internet video for an upcoming class. I saw a great need for presenting the gospel message in a format and with 'tags' that would best reach the lost. Sadly, many of the highly popular videos on Internet video servers such as YouTube, Yahoo Video, Google Video, etc., have tags of xxx, porn, Paris Hilton, and much worse. I prayed the Lord would give me a vision for a film to reach people who are searching these tags with His message--Mistaken Identity is the result."

The film was rush-produced by the academy with a budget under $300. Producing Christian films is part of the hands-on training of the film academy. Academy students and their families assisted, as well as other Christian friends who volunteered their services and resources.

Brayton continues, "I was so blessed to see God bring together people and resources always in His timing. Without the help that we received at the exact moment we received it, the film would not have been possible. Only God could have brought everything together with this precision. All the glory goes to Him. It is our prayer that He will use our efforts to bring many to salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord."

Internet video search engines work by popularity. The more popular a video is, the higher it ranks in a search. The academy is asking Christians everywhere to watch the video, rate it, leave comments or reviews, and, most importantly, forward the link to all their friends and family. This will make the video more available for those who are searching for it. HOUSTON, Sept. 10 /Christian Newswire/ -- Cinenosin Film Academy (www.cinenosin.com) is coming to a website near you. Scheduled to go live in 2008, the Cinenosin Film Academy has already begun taping the classroom sessions. These sessions will be mixed with other multimedia and delivered using the Internet. Regularly scheduled sessions will be conducted live using Internet broadcast technology.

The founder of the Cinenosin Film Academy, Robert Brayton is quoted, "I first began to realize the extent of the need for film production training for Christians when our website exceeded 10,000 hits in less than six weeks from inception. The greater than expected success of film academies such as the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Academy show there is a pent-up need for film production training for Christians. The success of independent, distinctively evangelical, Christian films is evidence that the pendulum is returning back to favor conservative Christian values in America. Films such as Facing the Giants continue to break the fallow ground. This totally independent Christian film was produced mostly by amateurs for around $400 thousand, yet it has grossed over $35 million already in box office and DVD sales and rentals. With sufficient training and experience, a new generation of Christian filmmakers will be poised to take on the Hollywood 'death star.'"

"The current short list of Christian film academies are prohibitively expensive for most young filmmakers and lack a comprehensive width and depth of knowledge with hands-on experience. For example, many consider the San Antonio Christian Film Academy one of the most important, but it is only three days a year with minimal hands-on instruction. Truly, the content and the presenters are very high quality, but they can only cover a limited amount of material in just three days. Clearly, comprehensive instruction is needed for the artistic, technical, and business aspects of filmmaking for Christians, as well as the theological grounding. Providing a balance of distinctly Christian web-based film training at an affordable cost is the vision of the Cinenosin Film Academy."
